What If…….

I’m getting a late start today so let me jump right in. Everyone likes to speculate, right? So today, let’s speculate on …… well whatever:
1) What If….. Obama wins the White House?
2) What If….. McCain wins?
3) What If….. Everyone practiced what they preached?
4) What If….. People didn’t judge others?
5) What If….. America was a communist country?
6) What If….. Racial hatred didn’t exist?
7) what If….. You lived forever?
8) What If….. People were content with what they had instead of wishing/wanting more?
9) What If….. Poverty didn’t exist?
10) What If….. Slavery never occurred? What would America be like?
I know, I know. Some people will say they don’t base their life on ‘what ifs.’ And that’s cool. But, if you did, what are some ‘what ifs’ you would ponder? I would love to hear your thoughts on this…..

What if……You were pregnant with tripplets?
What if…….You decided to buy a lottery ticket and then won $100 million?
What if…….You were my natural sister?
What if…….Jesus came tonight?

1. I would pray for his safety.
2. I would question America’s sanity…again!
3. This would be a world with vastly increased integrity.
4. People would act more like individuals.
5. Similar to my answer for #3, we would have more integrity. Miss that April 15th deadline and tell them you thought it was “the land of the free.” Yeah right.
6. There would be more unity and our overall quality of life would be better because people would be looked at for what they bring to the table and not what the color of their skin is.
7. I would plan accordingly.
8. Wow, things would really be different. One of the first things that comes to my mind is there would be a lot of preachers out of work.
9. Greed probably wouldn’t exist either.
10. Credit and the appropriate compensation would be given to those who truly built this country.
On the surface, these are simple questions. After thinking about them more, a paragraph – at least – could be written for every single one.

If people were content, SOME people would either stop going to church or would seek a church where the message was something not dealing with prosperity. Now, I say that and some may think that is extreme, but it might not be as extreme as you may think.

1) What If….. Obama wins the White House? As Tom said much prayer for his safety and his abilities to turn things around!
2) What If….. McCain wins? – You know how when you are riding a roller coaster and you are approaching the top of the biggest drop of the ride and your knuckles are getting white because you are holding on so tight? Hold on just a little tighter for the McCain ride!
3) What If….. Everyone practiced what they preached? – #4 would tke care of itself and living together would be harmionious!
4) What If….. People didn’t judge others? see #3.
5) What If….. America was a communist country? – Maybe better, maybe not.
6) What If….. Racial hatred didn’t exist? – how refreshing life would be and we wouldn’t have to be so defensive nor would we take offense to so many things.
7) what If….. You lived forever? – That would make me happy… I think.
9) What If….. Poverty didn’t exist? – Does that mean everyone would pull their own weight? Some times poverty seems the only way to tell they doers from the ones that do nothing.
10) What If….. Slavery never occurred? What would America be like? – had slavery never occured, I think #3, #4, and #6 would be taken care of.

1. I would expect change.
2. My faith in mankind would be gone.
3. I would be the happiest person on earth.
4. Now that would be something! I don’t think this is not realistic enough to even ponder on. Folks are going to pass judgment; they can’t help it…in their nature. But it sure would be nice if they didn’t .
5. Hmmmmmmm, I don’t know.
6. Equality would finally be a reality
7. That would be nice if I stop physically aging. I would not want to live forever and be old and sickly. The world would become overpopulated. Some of us would have to move to moon and learn to moon walk…:o)
8. Then we would finally see true happiness in mankind. One of the reasons people are so unhappy because they are never satisfied.
9. The world would be a happy place.
10. We would not be having this conversation. America would not be the powerfully country it is today.

Maybe that would force us to, not only act different on the outside where people could see and judge us and think more highly of us that we probably deserve, actually have purer/kinder thoughts and feelings…

Everyone is held accountable Kathy. Just not immediately. Everything has a consequence. People have sex, but the consequences, which are many, don’t happen until later. Pregancy, marriage, death and life are just a few.
I wonder if “acting different on the outside” would really mean anything if one the inside your thoughts and feelings were different.

I’ve learned to never understimate anyone Tom. They might be setting you up…..

while sitting in bible class, a thought came to me, i do have an if. i know a few days ago i said i dont do the if thing. but, i remember a couple years back when the doctor in the emergency room said to me,”your lungs are scattered with blood clots and you’re lucky to be alive”. well, i know good and well that, IF it had not been for the lord on my side, i wouldn’t even be here leaving this comment. IF it wasn’t for my main man jesus, we’d all be in trouble. IF jesus didn’t love us so…………i better stop, ya’ll ’bout to make me start preachin’ up in here. i’m thru, that’s all, pray my strength in the lord.
