Welcome Back, Whitney!
Written by: Kim Sawyer
Check out Ms. Whitney Houston’s new album cover. Let me be one of the first to say, “It’s about time!” Whitney Houston is my favorite female singer of all time. Can I just say, “I love me some Whitney!” Talk about a woman with an amazing voice! Oh my goodness! I am so excited that she is getting ready to release her new album. And let’s not forget to mention how great she looks! Okay, the album cover may be a little airbrushed (her thighs are not that thick), but nevertheless, she looks healthy and great. I am not one who advocates divorce, but it seems that her divorce from Bobby Brown was for her good. I can’t wait to hear her new album (I guess I’m showing my age by saying album instead of CD, but WHATEVER!).
Okay, I’m gushing just like a fan, but so what! Oh, what wonderful news this is! I won’t even delve into her past crack habit because you know what? It doesn’t matter! I always knew she would make a comeback simply because this lady has more talent on her worst day than alot of the other well-known singers have on their best day (e.g. Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilara, etc.) Don’t get mad at me for telling the truth! Join me in my celebration of the return of Whitney Houston! Can’t you just feel my joy?!!!! I would love to hear how you feel about Whitney.

As a youngster, the combination of a pure voice and Whitney’s beauty was a slam dunk. However, I was never under the impression that she was so innocent and Bobby Brown was the villain – I think the TV show proved what Rick James said: “Cocaine is a powerful drug.”
Having said all of that, if her voice is even 75% of what it used to be she will be the best singer out. I hope her production and material works out to give her the product so many people have been waiting years to hear. Maybe she should use Mary J’s producers. It seems like she always puts out good albums.

Yippie!!! You are absolutely right, no voice compares to my Whitney! I may not be quite as thrilled as you Kim but I am thrilled! I have prayed for her and prayed for her and never gave up on her! I told person after person, she will be back! And might I say, our Whitney has always been a bit odd turned. She gave some puzzling interviews even before Bobby Brown came on the scene but yet and still, sister did her thang! I don’t know if there is a vision quite like the one of her singing I Have Nothing in the movie the Bodyguard. I am a woman and am not gay but that scene is breathtaking! Welcome back Whitney! Yes!
uh… that doesn’t look at all like her body to me!

I think “I believe in you and me” in the Preacher’s Wife was the best.

I Have Nothing is definitely in my top 5 for Whitney, but I gotta agree with Tom on this one that I Believe in You and Me is her best thus far.

Yea, that was a good one too!

Yea, that scene, and her look, just doesn’t hit me like her singing I Have Nothing in Bodyguard. It was the entirety of the scene, her look, and her singing all rolled into one. And let the record show, I don’t care for that movie in comparison to the happy upbeatness of Preacher’s Wife.
