You will have voters to make sure you stay in line and some might even be Democrats. You would have to answer questions from all the folks not just the hand picked ditto heads. The GD was caused by a domino effect of one large failure taking down the next, until failure became endemic and the system fell apart and had to be painstakingly rebuilt. The GD was not just an American phenomenon. Although it began in the United States, it spread to the rest of the world because economies depend upon each other.

Roosevelt’s New Deal was essentially one large stimulus package, but it took the onset of WWII to finally cure it. The reason that WWII cured the GD was because war is all about spending enormous amounts of public money to build up an economy designed to deliver the maximum amount of war materiel (sic).

If Palin is doing such a great job for Alaska, let her continue doing it, but she proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is not fit to occupy the Whitehouse in any executive position. A POTUS has to be eloquent and appear knowledgeable. She didn’t even know what the position of Vice President entailed. She thought she would be sitting around on her ass all day long knitting.

Bush was the most ineloquent POTUS the American people have ever elected, and let me tell you it made you look like a horse’s ass to the entire world. So far, Bill Clinton has been the best US President ever. During his two terms, America experienced unprecedented economic prosperity.

Typically, in recent times, Democratic Party Presidents will build the economy and Americans will become richer, even though they also typically impose higher taxes, especially on the higher earners. Republic Presidents will burn the economy down and make the lower earners pay more tax and give tax breaks to the rich.

Nevermind shutting down Rush, Americans need to shut down all Americans who continually vote in Republicans, because they are the root cause of all your ills.

The only Republican president who did some good was Ronald Reagan.

This stimulus package does need to be retooled and I think that is what they are trying to do. I think Obama’s main point right now is that we need to do something to help. If we are to compare this one to the bailout plan we have to use some common sense. Would you give your child $1000 to go get something, he/she comes back with nothing and you don’t at least get a receipt? $350 billion gone and where was it used? Those are the kinds of things that happened under Bush.

Black, white, purple, yellow or blue, we should all be happy to be rid of one of history’s biggest idiots!
