Random Nonsense
Written by: Kim Sawyer
We are two weeks away from voting in a monumental presidential race. Every single day, we are bombarded with He Said, She Said articles, conversations, etc. Today, on 7daybuzz, let’s have a ‘Calgon, take me away moment’ and talk about nonsensical topics. Here we go:
Did you know that Omarosa (yes, the one from The Apprentice) is getting her own reality TV show? According to Trump Productions (yes, Donald Trump is producing it – can you believe it?!), “It’s a dating show, but it’s business meet romance. Love is serious business and that’s what Omarosa knows.” Uh – okay? Can we say, WTH?!!!!!!
Did you know that Terrence Howard was fired from the Iron Man sequel, but didn’t know it until he read in the newspaper? Wow!!!! That’s crazy, especially since I thought he did an awesome job in the movie. But, he is being replaced by Don Cheadle, who is an excellent actor in his own right.
Did you know O.J. Simpson “was allowed out of his cramped cell to attend worship services” at his new address in the Clark County Detention Center? Sometimes, it takes something this drastic to happen to get a person to go to church and discover Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Did you know that thanks to a new Internet-based service called inSPOT, people are now receiving anonymous e-mails about sex? But they aren’t spam and there is no hidden ad for herbal concoctions to increase the size of anything. Rather, the “e-cards” are notices from a previous sex partner that the recipient may have been exposed to a sexually transmitted disease.
Did you know San Francisco is voting next month to legalize prostitution? San Francisco would become the first major U.S. city to decriminalize prostitution if voters approve Proposition K — a measure that forbids local authorities from investigating, arresting or prosecuting anyone for selling sex.
Did you know in this economy – what some perceive to be a recession – software giant Apple’s profits are up 26% – mainly because of the iPhone? Does this mean McCain was right, that the economy is not as bad as we think it is?

I am deeply troubled at the thought of proposition K passing in San Francisco. It is extremely important that voters thoroughly consider the implications of this. The loopholes in this proposition will limit San Francisco’s ability to investigate and prosecute prostitution-related activities such as pimping, pandering and human trafficking. Even more alarming, proposition K will create a ‘policy’ against social service programs that help women and girls trapped in prostitution to escape. I am not only speaking as a San Franciscan and a woman, but I am also speaking as a former prostitute whose life was rescued by one of the San Francisco social service programs that proposition K seeks to defund.
There are hundreds of other women like me in San Francisco. You may not recognize us because we don’t walk around with a sign saying “I’m a former prostitute.” We have carved out new identities for ourselves. We have learned how to be healthy, happy human beings. We are now working hard to make this world a little better for ourselves and the next generation. Proposition K will eliminate any opportunity for other women and girls to receive the same help I did. It will benefit San Francisco tremendously to keep these programs in place and allow law enforcement to rid the streets of the pimps, traffickers and other perpetrators that prey on the most vulnerable among us. Please understand there is true potential there if you allow it to blossom. Please vote NO on K.

• Omarosa – a hot bubbling.
• Firing Terrence Howard – wrong.
• O.J. Simpson – help him Jesus!
• inSPOT – help ‘em Jesus!
• San Francisco – hmmmm…..there are so many implications here. Isn’t SF touted as one of the largest populations of homosexuality? If this law passes, I can see the number of cases of sexually transmitted diseases and aids soaring. Help them Jesus!
• The economy – help us Jesus!

Hi K-SanFrancisco. First, welcome to 7daybuzz. Yesterday, was the first time I became aware of Proposition K in San Francisco. Of course, I think it’s wrong. I agree with you that the people of San Francisco have to come together and shoot down this proposition. I’ll be watching next month for the outcome.

Hi, Prop K will result in improved Public Health. The California STD Controller’s Association, and Dr. Jeffrey Klausner, head of the STD unit of the Public Health Department, have both endorsed Prop K.
It doesn’t matter if you think prostitution is wrong. The question here is: Should prostitutes be put in jail?
Criminalization and the black market economy does not help anyone.

An interesting discussion is worth a comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not well versed in this area enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers

This particular issue: Random Nonsense | 7daybuzz.com is regularly discussed and my standard advice on avoiding sexually transmitted disease is as follows. You should always practice safer sex whenever you have sex with someone.Always employ a condom guys and try and also be disciplined. These barriers only work effectively if you use them.If your love life includes intercourse, anal or vaginal, indicate that you’ll never have sex wthout using condom. If you or your lovur significant other is at high risk of having an std, remain consistent and determined about dental dams and condom use. Barriers are certainly not 100% protective against all STDs, nevertheless they will help reduce your potential risk. Regards, Darin Shapskinsky.
