Jesse, the Mic is Still On!

Written by: Tom Sawyer

OK, this is going to be short and you know what the point is.  If you haven’t heard, Jesse Jackson (I’m leaving the Reverend off on purpose) was caught on camera whispering some things about Barack Obama.  He apparently thought they were on commercial and the mics were turned off.  At least I hope that is what he thought.  Anyway, he said something about “Obama talking down to black people, “He is talking that faith based” and…..”I want to cut his nuts off!”

Yes, that is the same guy who asked people to call black people African-Americans AND has a baby’s mamma!

When pressed, Jesse said this about his statements, “I said it can come off as speaking down to black people. The moral message must be a much broader message. What we need really is racial justice and urban policy and jobs and health care. There is a range of issues on the menu.”  Concerning saying he wanted to cut the presidential candidate’s nuts off, “And then I said something I felt regret for — it was crude. It was very private, and very much a sound bite — and a live mike. I find no comfort in it, I find no joy in it.”

Uh, Jesse?  You can put all that tenor in your voice and rhyme a little bit, but you are cold busted!  Ha!

Can somebody chime in and tell us exactly what Jesse’s son had to say about his father’s comments?  I haven’t heard them word for word, but the impression I got was he was slightly throwing his father under the bus.

It almost seems to be some jealousy to me.  Now that Barack has the nomination, everyone will think he is supposed to have their interests number one.  Jesse, don’t you have some Rainbow Coalition work to do or a conference will Al Sharpton or something?

I’m going to say this and get off this.  After this happened is someone finally going to quite putting Jesse on TV?

I saw this yesterday and was appalled. I cannot believe of all people, Jesse said and did this! I agree with you Tom, it sounds like a bit of jealousy. I wanna see what others have to say and I will chime in again.

This is typical of all those that are out of the spotlight. Do you think Jesse will send a crew to take care of Hussein’s testicles before the Denver convention?

  3. Kim Says:

Hi Tony Dee. Welcome to 7DayBuzz. Regarding Jesse Jackson, this isn’t the first time he disparaged Obama. Last year, when the Jena 6 was in the news, Jesse Jackson accused Obama of “acting like he’s White.” In my opinion, this is nothing but a divide and conquer tactic by Jesse Jackson. This is what his son had to say about this comments:

“I’m deeply outraged and disappointed in Rev. Jackson’s reckless statements about Sen. Barack Obama,” the younger Jackson said. “His divisive and demeaning comments about the presumptive Democratic nominee — and I believe the next president of the United States — contradict his inspiring and courageous career.”

  4. Mike Says:

Do you think we could get Jesse Jackson to make some “off-mic” remarks about Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe? It seems that what shouldn’t be heard can be louder than most speeches!

  5. primnproper Says:

I don’t know if Jesse can recover from this one!

  6. dmb Says:

jesse ran for president twice and never made made it, his true colors and feelings about obama came through. jesse is radicalism did not appeal to the america and he just not get it
obama is new school jesse resents him for that. if he is truely sorry for trash talk he better get out there and campaign his ass off for him to make sure he get elected and keep his mouth shut and stay off fox news

All I have to say is, this is typical to how black folk act. Why do we HATE to see each other make it. We need to support each other not tear one another down!!!!! You’re absolutely right dmb, he needs to campaign his black ass off.

Maybe just maybe jesse isnt the jesse everyone thinks he is. I mean there are many people who want folks to think they are some one they are not. HE FAKE……people will say and do anything to make a dollar. So he is going to keep saying what pays. If you ask me he is a sell out right along with oprah! Why say something the turn around and apologize. Thats what he really wanted to say, he was just putting on a show….you know what the good book says. Whats done in the dark will come to light. Maybe God just plugged in a night light for a second.

  15. johnthebaptist7 Says:

    lol…

    He didn’t really apologize….”If I did…But….”

  16. Viqi French Says:

Undermined by 3 minister-friends in a row?! Maybe the Lord’s trying to tell Obama something!? Either that, or the devil is busier than we realized…

  17. angela morris Says:

  18. bpalmore Says:

I’m 27 years old and I don’t respect nothing Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton says. They’re nothing but old, money hungry pimps. They talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. How many kids does Jesse Jackson have out there outside of his marriage!? What about Al Sharpton selling cocaine to the feds in the 80′s…on tape!? Anyways, it didn’t surprise me nor does anything that comes out about our so -called black leaders.
