I agree with Elaine and Karolann. Recently moving to the South was an adventure and it was the pits! I thought my husband and I might divorce over the move! He is military and is use to moving and throwing stuff out with every move and keeping his possessions updated, if you will. I, on the other hand, was not military until I married him. When we moved March 2008, I had lived in my apartment for 10 years and had to go through everything - the good stuff, the bad stuff and the junk! My husband couldn't handle it! The day Uncle Sam’s people came to move us was a horrible day! One of the movers told me late in the day she hadn't seen my husband smile at all since she had been there!

But still yet, the adventure of it all and the promise of a new day was the silver lining! Now.... I won't go into the less than perfect state (Georgia) I've landed in. You can read about it in my upcoming book tentatively called: Entering Georgia! (Sorry, I didn’t mean to make this all about me, pray my strength…)

I hope the West is the best! I pray you are in the right places, at the right time, talking to the right people, about the right things! May this phase of your life be everything you want it to be! God bless! God bless! God bless!
Reply

I think moving is the pits in some aspects...but a blessing if it's to attain a dream and further your life in a positive way. You all had been talking about moving back to Vegas and you have accomplished that dream so smile and know that you are blessed to be able to do something millions only dream about!!! Blessings to you!
Reply

I know this probably sounds crazy but I love the whole moving experience. One of the happiest days of my life was the day my husband, son, our cat, and myself piled into a moving van and left California to move to Tennessee. Our house deal had fallen through the day before we left so we headed out with all our belongings and no place to put them when we arrived When we got there we were greeted by a terrible thunderstorm and we couldn't find a hotel that allowed animals but in the end it all worked out . I love adventure and look at every new place as a blank palette just waiting to be painted. We are trying to sell our house right now so that we can move to the property we bought and I can't wait to get started on a new adventure.

I know what it's like when uncle sends his buddy to come and pack you up for the big move. I know every time I've had to move I had to go around the house and record serial numbers as well as recording the items actually functioning. I've been lucky for the most part some damage on a dresser and a few other things. I've also had some items come up missing as well but what can you do. I'll miss you around here, it was a plesure being able to work for you if only for a short time. There have only been a few bosses that I've had over my career so far that I have enjoyed working with and actually hate to see go. So thank you for all the good times and memories and good luck in the future. You served your 20 faithfully and now is your time to enjoy your retirment. We will do our best to keep things going for yooooooooooooooooouuuuuuu. :)
Reply
