I agree with Kathy. But, violence has always been a part of life. We hear more about it because of communications today so it does seem like we are more exposed. We, as a country, have turned our backs on God in the interest of being politically correct. We are seeing the moral decline that comes with this. Families are breaking down because so many parents are out there working all the time instead of making do with less and spending more time with their kids. Things are becoming more important than life itself. I think most kids would trade their electronics for some one on one attention from their parents anytime. Without God in our lives there is no conscience and then anything goes.
Reply

When I hear of cases like this, my question always is, how do these people grow criminal intentions and what happens in their minds/lives to make them actually carry them out? Taking a life and then continuing on with your own life as if nothing changed (ie - the Sunday School teacher) is really unbelievable. I would be a basket case and would probably end up blurting out what I had done. I see movies where innocent people run over someone on the highway or street. No fault of their own. The person just walked out in front of their car and they couldn’t help it. I pray and ask God not to even let something like happen to me because I know me; I would not be able to live with it.

Tom you're right, unfortunately these types of horrifying events are becoming all too common! But still, I try to stop and pray for each and every family when I hear of the tragedies. When it a crime against a child, I say throw them under the jail!
Reply
