Falling Flat On The Track

“I think this Olympics is the Jamaican Olympics, no disrespect to the Americans,” said Kerron Stewart, the Jamaican who finished third in the 200. “Dominating like we are, it’s no surprise. I know it’s been crazy because we’ve been on the podium a lot.”
Oh my goodness! I’m hurt about the fact that there is nothing we (Americans) can say to dispute this statement. I’m not sure how much of the Olympics you have been watching, but we aren’t doing so well – relatively speaking that is. For crying out loud, we are the United States of America. The greatest country in the world.
Can we get some athletes who can perform consistently or do we have to get Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson and Jackie Joyner out of retirement.
I need to be on whatever USA Olympic committee that is needed to make this thing right for 2012. For one thing, I don’t think very many people on the track team should participate in the next Olympics. They just aren’t bringing it like they should. I will give credit here to David Neville who literally dived across the finish line in the 400 to claim bronze in the American medal sweep. But stories like that have been few on the track.
Do we even need to talk about gymnastics? Why aren’t there any Amerian officials crying foul? We have got an Olympic-sized rip off on the gymnastics scoring. Let’s not forget about the controversy surrounding the age of the Chinese gymnast.
It just seems like we aren’t really bringing it like we should.
While Michael Phelps is the best athlete in these Olympics, I vote Tyson Gay for worst.

Uh… didn’t he get eliminated? And didn’t that cause US to finish second and third or rather silver and bronze? Sorry about stepping on the line Kerron, but that’s not a clean race.

John, this is one reason Kathy has told you that you are all over the place. Sure, this is news, and I actually give you credit for putting it on 7daybuzz before NBC had it on. However, what does it have to do with the Olympics?

John, let’s get right down to this thing. I gave you the opportunity to put your money where your mouth is, send me an article and I would post it. What you did was punk out and send an article to Kathy and then tried to send another one with corrected grammar.
Your article was garbage, told a story of controlling/abusing women and you got called on it. Sure, you didn’t advocate going up side a woman’s head, but you sure didn’t say it was wrong either. You attempted to apologize all of a sudden in another post and then say the comments the post received was due to the article coming from you.
Now, you once again attempted to hijack this post by saying you really wanted to post something else. You are (allegedly) a grown man and can email what you wish – although you wasn’t man enough to email anything to me.
Understand this clearly. One more incident involving you and it’s a wrap for you on 7daybuzz. You can call me whatever you want, but that is all there is to it.
