Ewww!
The latest word is that the gender report says Semenya has both female and male organs. I don’t even know what I think about this one, but this is a crazy world we live in! Although this isn’t the first case of this kind, this has received the most press as far as I know. Unfortunately, we could be seeing more situations like this. It is a shame what some people will do for athletic glory.
I only read a few of the comments in the article, but I read some things about Serena Williams. I guess some of the people commenting think Serena has something in common with Semenya.
8 YEARS LATER

9/11 happened 8 years ago and some Muslims fear for their safety in this historic day. Today shouldn’t be a celebration, but it shouldn’t be a reason for hate crimes either.
I can only speak for myself, but any reservations I would have towards a Muslim is centered around their religion. When someone is willing to strap a bomb to their body and die in the name of Allah I’m concerned. Our culture doesn’t worship someone who does this and certainly wouldn’t promote it. Since some Muslims are willing to do this, seeing a Muslim on 9/11 will cause an alarm to go off.
WHITNEY IS BACK
I’m listening to Whitney Houston’s new album as I type this and am somewhat happy and sad about the outcome. Hopefully, she is healthy and in the right frame of mind. But this CD isn’t on par with her past efforts. To be fair, her voice is still equal to or better than popular singers like Beyonce, Mariah Carey or Alecia Keys, but she was better. Regardless of what genre of music you listened to, Whitney Houston’s voice was as perfect as we’ve ever had. Not anymore. The content? I will let you decide that one, if you so desire.

In my opinion, politics are going too far in the US and we need to take a step back to see what is going on. We need to be looking at possible solutions for the greater good and not only thinking along political lines. Besides that, we shouldn’t let politics determine who our friends are. As absurd as that may sound, I’m sure there are people who would shy away from a potential life-long friend because of their political affiliation. If you ask me that is stupid!

he/she: Lady GaGa or whatever his/her name is has brought this (is issue the right word?) to the forefront.
9/11: Sad, sad day for America, that some of us have forgotten already – we’re still lax on so many levels of security!
whitney: Can you say Yea!!!!!!! I am sooooooooooo happy for her and despite the fact that her voice is not as strong as it once was – she STILL can outsing most of the female singers on the scene today!
friends: I am a firm believer that you can definitely be friends with someone who has opposing political views. but maturity is a must and emotions have to be left out of it! If you follow that, you can have great debates, without hurting anyone’s feelings. Ryan, I’ll come to jealousbrothers to comment too.

He/She – The only thing I would add is that this is hermaphrodites don’t choose to be born with sex organs, it just happens. I have no idea on how I’d determine which sex this individual should compete with but we certainly should degrade he/she for being born different. (Not saying you were degrading)
8 Years Later – I could write a novel on this one but I’ll refrain. Let me just say, my thoughts are with the families and friends of all of those we lost on that September morning. I know I’ll never forget but some people make me wonder if they remember what happened that morning.
Whitney is Back – “A Boy Who Cried Wolf” (girl) comes to mind. I’m sorry but I have no interest in this women.
Let’s be friends – Thank You once again Tom and Kim. I certainly feel that I can be friends with someone who doesn’t agree with me but there is something I have to note; politics will only be discussed if we can have an adult conversation. I won’t name the individual by name (Not that anyone on here knows them) but they are the first to start a political argument (Not discussion) and never has any facts to back up their arguments. I’ve had many conversations with people like this that instantly reply to a valid argument with a “I don’t care”, “You don’t know what you’re talking about”, “You’re a stupid Republican”, etc…
In all honesty there is nothing I enjoy (Okay, stretching it a little) more than having an educated discussion with someone of an opposing view. It doesn’t happen often but when it does both parties usually walk away with some new knowledge instead of immature insults. Bottom line, I’ll befriend just about anyone but if they can’t have a mature discussion about politics, politics will not be discussed.

Regarding he/she – poor Semenya has no choice. Obviously the combination of sexual organs has turned her (I believe that is the sex chosen to be associated with) into an incredible endurance athlete. It’s not nice to make fun of someone else’s unfortunate circumstances.
